OUR CONSORTIUM

Woodbury University School of Architecture

Woodbury University School of Architecture is a network of strategically sited hubs scattered within and reaching out of the complex megalopolis of Southern California. From the stereotypical low-density suburban fabric surrounding the main Burbank campus, to the hyper-public noise of the Hollywood Gallery neighborhood, to the packaged and revitalized polish of the blocks of Little Italy that contain the Merrimac Studio, to the borderlands, industrial, and speculator contrasts of the San Diego campus home in Barrio Logan, the school is engaged in the contexts that characterize contemporary inhabitation practices. Off of these platforms of tangible challenge and debate, the programs emphasize the development of the architect-citizen as cultural builder and facilitator of situationally critical and responsive design. Faculty and students, under this umbrella, are active and prolific, conceptually and practically, through multi-media material and technological production, across all scales and by interdisciplinary cooperation.
